Who am I?

My name is Lisa Thornhill.  I attended the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine where I graduated in 2006 with a Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.  I am National Board Certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  This includes certification in Clean Needle Technique.  I am licensed as an acupuncturist by the State of Colorado.  My specific training includes 3 years of western and oriental medical sciences, consisting of 2850 hours of education, with over 1000 hours of clinical internship utilizing acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine.  I also received training in the recommendation and application of adjunctive therapies including moxibustion, tui na, cupping, and dietary and lifestyle recommendation as defined by traditional oriental medical concepts.

I come from a family of Medical Doctors & Nurses and have the utmost respect for Western Medicine.  I believe that Eastern & Western Medicine used together have the power to provide the best healthcare, better than either type used alone.  If I think that your healthcare needs can be better met with a different treatment modality than I can provide, I will not hesitate to refer you to other practitioners.
